Arbor Day Plantings
Urban Tree Alliance staff and directors had the opportunity to plant trees with 3rd and 4th graders from Shorewood Hills Elementary School in honor of Arbor Day. This was a very enthusiastic group that together got seven new trees in the ground. You can see more photos on our Facebook page. Happy Arbor Day!

Oak and Elm Pruning
As of April 1st the season for pruning oak and elm trees has expired. Both of these genera are susceptible to fungal diseases (oak wilt, and dutch elm disease) that are transfered by insects.
